ABOUT FRESHWATER
In the sun-drenched suburb of Freshwater, nestled between ocean cliffs and leafy streets, a
completed residential renovation reveals a quiet mastery of material and form.
Central to this transformation is Talostone Natroccia®, a Taj Mahal inspired natural stone
that brings depth, light, and elegant complexity to a home grounded in minimalism and
calm.
Designed for a family, the home is more than a renovation. It is a redefinition of how they wish to live.
The interiors reflect a desire for simplicity, warmth, and timelessness.
From the outset, the clients were drawn to the natural tonal movement of Talostone® Natroccia® Taj Mahal, visiting the Talostone® warehouse to hand-select their pieces before finalising the design. A brief call to request the final sample marked the completion of this highly personalised journey, a gesture that reflects their deep connection to the material they chose.

With its creamy base, soft veining, and subtle golden hues, Natroccia® Taj Mahal delivers the
organic texture of quartzite with the quiet polish of contemporary refinement. Installed across
kitchen benchtop, splashback, and Bbq, it creates a cohesive visual rhythm, one that elevates
the architecture without overwhelming it.
Morning light streams through clerestory windows, catching the soft movement of the stone’s veining, revealing new depth as the day progresses.
In Freshwater, where the landscape meets the ocean with such effortlessness, we wanted the interiors to reflect that same sense of quiet clarity,” says the lead designer.

The MinQ® Zero Artic White™ reappears in the ensuite, where it is crafted into a custom floating
vanity and shelving detail.
Here, surrounded by handmade tiles and soft linen textures, it feels serene and deeply tactile.
